This restaurant has been highly recommend by family and friends and it did not disappoint! Everything we ate was delicious and came out quickly. We ate here on a Saturday evening and if going for dinner on the weekends I recommend going as close to open as possible to avoid waiting. Would come back!

The food is good. We ordered sweet and sour pork. It come up so crunchy and juice. Defenetly we will go back

Where has this place been all my life. I'm giving 5 stars for the Peking Spare Ribs alone. This place was bustling on a Monday night & had parties waiting for tables. The atmosphere is very loud & dishes aren't super clean but the food is so good.
Just to name a few I've also ordered:
Tofu clay pot with chopped fish & roast pork: the flavoring was good, roast pork was a little overcooked
Tossed chicken with pork belly: if you like wasabi this is for you. Also the portion is very big.
Simmered clams with turnip with broth: the clams were surprisingly juicy, but the broth had waaay too much white pepper. They even added jalapeños to make it extra spicy.
I kept eating even though I was full. Then they top it off with taro dessert which was really good too.

Came here during a weekday night for dinner and was really busy! Service was pretty slow. After ordering you had to get their attention several times and ask them several times for them to get your request through.
However, the food was fantastic, black truffle duck was definitely a star and a must try! Savory and actual truffle within the sauce over it. There was also the yellow chicken with pork stomach, it was sauced up with a scallion and wasabi oil. We also t got the fried pork intestine with soy sauce. Really yummy ! It was crispy and savory, definitely gotta have it with rice.
The stir fry ribeye with mushrooms were really good too, tender beef and savory mushrooms. Crispy pork trotter was tender and crispy, a bit bland but overall really good.
When it's busy it gets really loud in the restaurant, service is just okay, but the food is really good!
I'd give this place a 3.5, but i'll round up since the food was so good

Reading the mixed reviews about the kitchen and i'm was pleased with the flavors of all our dishes (not all items attached in picture.
The protein dishes we ordered were packed w a lot of meat and big portions. Alongside those, the veggies that added to accommodate the dishes paired very well.
The restaurant was packed so going at 5:30 was good, the server was really nice but was slow to understand what we wanted to order. Besides that, will be coming back to try other dishes!

Food was deliscious, ordered smork cauliflower and a hot pot chicken with onions and celery dish with one bowl rice. Waitress was excellent:cheerful, knowlegeable, and on it for service and suggestion. I would definitely go again and cant wait to try other dishes also...wish I had a group and can order more!

This Cantonese restaurant is conveniently located in Millbrae right off the freeway and on El Camino real.
Aside from being super crowded and extremely hard to find parking. Their food is pretty good.
We ordered a variety of dishes so we could compare them to other Cantonese restaurants nearby.
The green beans were very good, not too salty or greasy like other restaurants. The minced meat and garlic added to the wonderful flavor.
The stir-fried spare ribs were very tasty but not too much meat. It was mostly bones, so I wouldn't order it again.
The baked cured pig hock was seasoned perfectly and not too greasy or fat. There was plenty of meat on them bones. The skin was nice and crispy.
The dried scallop fried rice with egg whites was pretty good compared to other restaurants. Each grain of rice was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of dried scallops and egg whites. I would order it again.
The stir-fried beef with tofu and broccoli was very good. The sauce is slightly sweet and salty but full of flavor. The homemade tofu was fresh and soft.
The Peking duck was very good, the skin was crispy, and the meat was moist and flavorful. The buns were fresh and soft.
Overall, The Kitchen offers great food, but good luck finding parking. Even though there is a public parking lot next door, not a single space is available.
Arrive early and reserve a table. The wait could be up to an hour.
